We wanted to thank the bakery staff and team who called us very early this past Saturday to come and pick up our preordered and very large birthday ganache cake. An electrical fire had broken out in the rear of Stop & Shop around midnight, so it was not possible to open up the next morning.
These employees made an effort to make sure we could still have our birthday celebration despite not knowing when they would be returning to work. The world is still a good place.
We also wanted to thank our volunteer Southampton Village fire department for answering yet another call during the wee hours of the night.
