Thomas F. Cregan of Riverhead Dies July 9

Thomas F. Cregan of Riverhead died on July 9 in Riverhead. He was 78.

He was born on September 16, 1945, in Queens.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Eileen Cregan; his son Tommy Cregan (Amy); his daughter Kelly Cregan; and his granddaughter Whitney Cregan; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

He was predeceased by his mother and father, Alma and James Cregan; and his brothers, the Reverend James Cregan and Robert Cregan.

A visitation will be held at Scott-Rothwell Funeral Home in Hampton Bays on Thursday, July 11, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Rosalie’ Church in Hampton Bays on Friday, July 12, at 9 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Church of St Rosalie’s in memory of Thomas F. Cregan, at 31 East Montauk Hwy, Hampton Bays, NY 11946.

WESTHAMPTON BEACH — Marcelino Perez-Tax, 56, of Westhampton Beach was arrested on June 29 at 8:36 p.m. and charged with misdemeanor DWI. Village Police said Perez-Tax had a blood alcohol level of .08. He was pulled over after being observed driving on the shoulder and failing to stay in his lane, police reported.
