Thomas Lachcik, 68, Of Wesley Chapel, Florida, Dies Tuesday, March 12, 2019

Thomas Lachcik of Wesley Chapel, Florida, died March 12, 2019, of cancer. He was 68.

Born in Southampton. Mr. Lachcik attended Tuckahoe School and graduated from Southampton High School. He worked for the Southampton Golf Club and B&N Moving. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. During his service he was awarded two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart.

Survivors said that although he moved with his family to Florida, he always considered Southampton his home. His kindness and compassion were well known and his most cherished moments were those spent with his grandsons, they said.

Mr. Lachcik was predeceased by his wife, Mary Lachcik. He is survived by his son, Thomas Lachcik and wife Brigid, and their two sons, Harrison and Nathaniel, of Wesley Chapel; four brothers, Michael, Theodore, Robert and Daniel; and sister, Beverly Sobczyk.

Southampton DWI Arrests for the Week of December 12

William Campos Lopez, 26, of Speonk was arrested on December 8, at 3:40 a.m., by Quogue Village Police charged him with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor.
