Thomas William Groth of East Quogue died on September 9 following a brief illness. He was 43.

Mr. Goth’s zest for life, and love of his father Dennis, and his brother Bill, and all his siblings will live on in the memories shared with his family and friends, his family said. “Remember me with smiles and laughter, for that is how I will remember you all. If you can only remember me with tears, then don’t remember me at all.”

He was predeceased by his mother, Jaymie Masters Groth; his paternal grandparents Fred and Lillian Groth; his maternal grandparents Nicholas and Christine Masters; his aunt Harriet and uncle Sam Stackowitz.

He is survived by his father Dennis Groth and stepmother Elizabeth Groth; his siblings William Groth, Dennis Groth Jr., Denise (Mark) Groth-Gabbett, Adam Miller, James Samanic; nieces and nephews Ethan, Jayden, Lilly, and Ashley. He also leaves behind his beloved dog Gizmo. Also surviving him is Michael Jasniewski Jr.

A memorial Mass was held at St. Rosalie Catholic Church in Hampton Bays on October 7. Burial at a later date will be at the convenience of family in the Spring of 2022.
