Southampton Artists Show Will Benefit Heart of the Hamptons

The Southampton Artists Association will host a reception and art exhibit to benefit Heart of the Hamptons on Sunday, November 2, at the Southampton Cultural Center. Last year, the Southampton Artists Association raised enough money to provide more than 2,500 meals through Heart of the Hamptons, which provides a safety net of food and other vital services to over 4,500 local residents in need. State Parks To Offer Nature Hikes

The State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation has released its list of night owl hikes and seal observation hikes. For the owl hikes, a state park naturalist will guide visitors in the woods to listen for owls and other night life. The location of each hike may vary. Wear clothing appropriate for the weather and comfortable shoes for hiking. Be prepared to hike without lights. The hike averages 2.15 miles (longer or shorter depending on the location) and is for those ages 12 and older. No dogs are allowed. The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF) is calling on the creativity of local young artists with the launch of its 2025 Holiday Card Contest. Open to all students in grades six through 12, the contest invites participants to design ARF’s official holiday card, spreading cheer while celebrating the animals waiting for adoption at the ARF Adoption Center. Beautification Association To Discuss Proposed Hotel

The Hampton Bays Beautification Association will meet on Monday, November 3, at 7 p.m. at the Hampton Bays Library. The meeting is open to all. Representatives from the Indigo Hotel will discuss plans for a new hotel at the Boardy Barn property.
