Bridgehampton and Sagaponack voters overwhelmingly approved the Hampton Library’s proposed $1,701,352 budget in light voting on Tuesday, September 27.
In Bridgehampton, the budget passed, 49-2, while all nine voters in Sagaponack approved the spending plan.
The library’s board of trustees will see three new members, all of whom were elected as write-in candidates. Eric Lemonides received 17 votes, Stephen Kotz received 13 votes, and Joe Titus received nine votes.
Two incumbent Sagaponack trustees, Tom White and Sarah Stenn, were reelected with nine and seven votes, respectively.
The John Jermain Memorial Library in Sag Harbor will hold its annual budget and trustee election from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 29, at the library.
The library is proposing a total budget of $3,216,932, with a total tax levy of $3,093,732.
Three candidates are running for the library board, including incumbent Michael Garabedian and two newcomers, Robyn Obler and Elliott Sroka.
