Time for Change

Within the past four years, I have served under Jesse Warren on both the Southampton Village architectural review board and the environmental committee, which I co-chaired. I also speak regularly with as many as 20 current or recent employees of the village, and am very concerned about the morale of the hardworking team that makes our village function.

I am keenly aware of the need to actually execute and implement a sewer plan that county officials tell me is past due. And I believe we would benefit significantly — both substantively and financially — from having a full-time village attorney in order to both benefit from her/his local knowledge as well as to control our ballooning legal expenses.

Bill Manger has pledged to make both of these happen.

Finally, we deserve normalcy. We need maturity and not mayhem, consensus rather than chaos, and decency over divisiveness.

While I have very few policy differences with either candidate, it is an easy decision for me to support Bill Manger. I urge other village residents to do the same. It is time for change. Bill will return the village to its rightful place of pride and prominence.
