Time To Explore

We opened the Sag Harbor Garden Center in 1996, a young couple expecting our first kid. We knew a few things, but we relied on you. You taught us about gardening, you taught us about community, you embraced us as your friends.

Back in those years, we referred to the store as “the nursery with a nursery,” because there was often a baby in residence. Those babies grew up and manned the cash registers during their youth.

But time marches on. Our kids have flown the coop, and it’s just us again. And along with that comes the time to explore new roads.

So, after 25 years, we are passing the torch.

Linnette Roe, of Sag Harbor, has taken ownership of the garden center. She comes to you with years of experience in the industry, as well as many fresh ideas and lots of energy. We know that you will support Linnette just as you supported us.

Although we are still in Sag Harbor, we will miss regularly seeing each and every one of you. You have been such a huge part of our lives. We’ve rejoiced in your successes and supported you when you were down. You did the same for us.

So, from us and our girls, we send a great big thank you! And remember … keep shopping local.
