I heard there is $2 billion in the Community Preservation Fund.
If I were supervisor:
1. There would be lifeguards and portable toilets at Ponquogue Beach on weekends from Labor Day until Columbus Day. Thousands of people go to the beach; many go swimming. They should be protected.
2. Beach parking permits should be mandatory from July 1 through Labor Day, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. There should be unrestricted parking all other times.
3. I would build a bike trail on the north side of Dune Road from Moriches Inlet to Shinnecock Inlet. Currently, it’s not safe bike riding along Dune Road (use Jones Beach Island bike trail as an example).
4. I would finish the sidewalk from the Hampton Bays train station to Ponquogue Bridge.
5. I would demolish Bel-Aire Cove Motel and turn the property into a park with swings and a kayak launch ramp into Penny Pond.
6. I would condemn the diner and build a welcome center in its place.
7. I would demolish 7Zs Swimming Pool and let the property revert back to nature.
8. I would build a sewage treatment plant in Hampton Bays at a suitable location.
9. I would build a battery energy storage system facility at a safe location that is acceptable to all constituents.
10. I would represent the people and listen to them.
