To The Rescue

On Sunday, March 1, a friend visiting from Paris and I decided to take a walk up Main Street to enjoy our beautiful, historic village. Unfortunately, she tripped and fell hard, and was in acute pain.

Our fire chief, Steve Miller, happened to be driving by and immediately pulled over. Assessing the situation, he called an ambulance and attended to my friend. Within minutes, other members of the police department came, as did the ambulance.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Chief Miller, members of the Sag Harbor Police Department, as well as the Sag Harbor Volunteer Ambulance Corps, including Andrew Schultze, Ed Downes, Randy York, and R.J. Capazzola, for their professionalism and ability to bring comfort and reassurance to my friend.

As we face the growing threat of the coronavirus pandemic, my thoughts, prayers and heartfelt thanks are with this fine group of first responders.
