Trump Property

Any American should have been appalled by President Trump’s use of the White House for a political rally last week. Forget that the Hatch Act prohibits the use of federal property for partisan purposes, and that the cabinet members and other government officials there were breaking the law with their participation.

What turned my stomach was the sight of the White House, referred to by President Reagan as “The People’s House,” being treated as one of Donald Trump’s properties. The “Trump/Pence” banners in front of that great building should have every American worried for the future of our democracy.
