Dozens of federal immigration enforcement agents swept onto the South Fork on Wednesday in what appears to have been the largest ICE operation on the South Fork this year.

At least seven people were detained, four in Hampton Bays and three in Westhampton Beach during the operation, which lasted several hours on Wednesday morning. One of the men detained told onlookers that his name is Agustin Velasquez before being hauled away.
