Josh was found by police shortly after 6:30 p.m. Thursday evening. He was returned home and was unharmed, police said.
An East Quogue teenager ran away from home Wednesday evening with a backpack and a tent, and police are asking for the public’s help in finding him.
Josh Heino, 16, was last seen at his home on Jones Road at approximately 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Police described him as 5 feet 7 inches tall with brown hair and blue eyes.
According to police, Josh snuck out of his home via his bedroom window with a backpack and a tent.
Town Police Lieutenant Susan Ralph said patrol officers and Suffolk County Police helicopters are currently looking for him.
