Stony Brook Southampton Hospital is accepting appointments from senior citizens for COVID-19 vaccinations that will be administered in East Hampton throughout the day on Friday, March 5.
Appointments can be made now by visiting www.southampton.stonybrookmedicine.edu and clicking the COVID-19 vaccination link.
Appointments are being offered only to those over the age of 65.
The shots will be administered at the East Hampton Town vaccination site at the former CDCH building on Stephen Hands Path.
Shots will be available only to those with appointments. Nobody without an appointment will be allowed to enter the property.
More than 1,000 people, primarily senior citizens, received their first shots at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Southampton on Thursday — and another large allocation of shots will be administered in East Hampton on Friday.
Both vaccination clinics are being conducted with doses allocated to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital and administered by hospital staff.
The bulk of the appointments for shots on Thursday came from the lists of senior citizens that Southampton Town and East Hampton Town, and local villages, have been compiling through their senior services programs. East Hampton Town seniors may go to the town’s new online vaccination portal to register their eligibility at www.ehtownvaccine.org.
