The Express News Group hosted a debate between the candidates for State Assembly and State Senate via the Zoom platform on Monday evening, October 24.

The Assembly candidates were incumbent Democrat Fred W. Thiele Jr. and Republican challenger Peter Ganley. The Senate candidates were incumbent Republican Anthony Palumbo and Democratic challenger Skyler Johnson.

The Assembly portion of the debate was moderated by Managing Editor Bill Sutton, and the Senate portion was moderated by Deputy Managing Editor Brendan J. O’Reilly.

A 1st District congressional debate featuring candidates Democrat Bridget Fleming and Republican Nick LaLota will be held via Zoom on Friday, October 28, from 6 to 7 p.m.
