There is a pandemic that, whoever is blamed for it, took everyone by surprise. People are getting sick and people are dying. The medical experts are warning what it means and what may happen if we are not careful in our everyday lives.

But those whose egos don’t allow them to think otherwise disregard experts’ expertise and come up with an explanation that there is nothing to worry about, because some kind of miracle will happen and the problem will disappear. If not a miracle, the commonly used cleaning supplies, swallowed or injected, will make us feel better.

What’s more, there is no need to perform tests on people to find out if they are infected, because it may increase the number of sick people and it will cause a problem. But, miraculously, the privileged ones are tested every day, because they would like to know how they react to the invasion of a so-called “invisible enemy.” Or maybe they are afraid that this harmless “bug” is going to bite them?

Two plus two makes …

Some of us take part in the event, others watch the event on TV, and a lot of things that are happening during these events, to say the least, are mind-boggling. Nobody needs to be a rocket scientist or use very strong binoculars to see what’s going on on the TV screen or hear what other people do or say. Especially if you witnessed yourself what took place.

But those smart, well-educated and ego-hungry “experts” try very hard to twist your mind. According to them, there was no use of any chemical irritant, because something that hurt your eyes wasn’t a chemical. The chopper had to fly lower than the height of surrounding buildings because the pilot wanted to show how skilled he was in flying the machine. The crowd on the street had to be dispersed by using different methods because other people had to, exactly at the same time, take a walk.

Two plus two makes …

Why do we need to learn that black is black and white is white if it is a personal choice to define a color? Why do we need to follow experts’ recommendations if it is a personal choice to put in danger hundreds of people? How can we distinguish true from false if the people who are supposed to tell the truth bent it the way that is convenient for them?

The TV networks and everyday press are full of news, polls, charts, opinions, facts and what-not to make everyone interested in how to put two and two together — but if it equals four, five or “how much do you want it to be?” depends on a personal choice.

There are more examples of how to brainwash viewers and listeners. The question that we may ask ourselves at this moment is: What do we need to go to school for? Why do we need to learn anything? Do we need to know that our planet circles the sun and it is not flat and carried on the backs of elephants? Do we need to know that the water displaced by a body is equal to the weight of the body? Was Einstein, with his uncombed hair and disheveled clothing, only a strange and funny man?

Although we think we know how much two plus two makes, there is always someone who thinks that he knows better. And he will do everything in his power to convince you that you are wrong.

So, how much is it, two plus two? What a silly question, you may ask! So let’s figure it out together, and the door to politics is wide open to everyone who comes up with the right answer.

The numbers are not lying. Everybody should know that after page one it will be page two. But for some mysterious reason, for a lot of people the next page is blank. Either they don’t see the number or they don’t want to see it. If they are asked about their way of thinking, the answer is somehow vague, as if they try to cover up their incompetence or lack of basic knowledge of mathematics.

So if the schools are reopened in the near future, who should go back to them to learn how to put two and two together?
