Violet C. Kumpf Of Hampton Bays Dies November 6

Violet C. Kumpf of Hampton Bays died on November 6, 2016 at the Hampton Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Southampton. She was 82.

Born in Southampton on April 20, 1934, to George and Violet Lisbon, she lived in Southampton for many years. She lived in Hampton Bays for 50 years and was active in the Southampton Town Senior Center in the hamlet.

Mrs. Kumpf is survived by her husband of 50 years, Werner Kumpf; two daughters, Michelle C. Kumpf and fiance Timothy Brown of Hampton Bays and Susan M. Smith of Manhattan; two grandchildren, Joseph Malagoli and Jennifer Malagoli; and a sister, Marie Penny and husband Harry of Florida.

Visiting will be on Thursday, November 10, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays, with a funeral service at 8 p.m.; Reverend Rick Boyer of the First Presbyterian Church of Southampton will officiate.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 75 Davids Drive, Hauppauge, NY 11788.

William Campos Lopez, 26, of Speonk was arrested on December 8, at 3:40 a.m., by Quogue Village Police charged him with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor.
