The Hampton Bays Assembly of God will host a Family Fun Day on Saturday, June 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The rain date is Sunday, June 8. All are invited to the free event that will include face painting, crafts, games, music, food, an inflatable obstacle course and bounce house, animal shelter dog walking and an educational exhibit from the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Refuge. A red carpet event starts at 1 p.m. The 2025 Teeny Awards ceremony, hosted by WLIW’s Gianna Volpe and produced by Kasia Klimiuk, will feature performances by over 100 high school theater students, while presenters consisting of leaders in theater, as well as the local community, present a variety of awards for the 2024/25 high school theater season. Ponquogue Beach in Hampton Bays will be the setting for the 22nd annual Battle of the Bands on Friday, June 6. Five local high school bands will compete for prizes in the event, which begins at 8 p.m. Gates open at 7 p.m. with guest performers.
