Waited Too Long

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis addressed his constituents recently with a plan that sounded serious, although he did not mandate wearing masks in his state. My opinion is that governors could have taken heed months ago and could have begun planning when Governor Andrew Cuomo carefully addressed New Yorkers daily, helping us and guiding us with the latest scientific facts regarding the virus — to follow his vision, in order that we may see our way out of our dilemma in New York.

President Trump had given up, and I’m not putting all the blame on governors. Of course, Trump was the one who should’ve taken charge immediately.

It just seems incredulous to me that all these states’ governors did not take heed, waited too long, and, consequently, people have died and suffered needlessly.

I know that Trump is not going to come to the rescue. At this point, I’m just thinking about the governors and what they can do.
