Walter H. Bramoff
Walter H. Bramoff of Sag Harbor died on Saturday, February 12. He was 101.
Born in Jersey City on May 31, 1909, he moved to Sag Harbor during the 1940s. He opened Walt’s Service Station on Sag Harbor Turnpike, which he operated for 30 years, until he retired to Florida in the early 1970s. He moved back to Sag Harbor two years ago.
Mr. Bramoff always helped people out in any way he could and even plowed snow for others in the winter. He was well-respected by his friends and enjoyed fishing and bowling, survivors said.
He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Ethel. He is survived by three children, Carol Geddie of Sag Harbor, Walter Bramoff Jr. of Florida and Warren Bramoff of Sag Harbor; three grandchildren, Douglas Geddie of Sag Harbor, Eric Bramoff of Cicero, and Robyn Mott of Sag Harbor; and five great-grandchildren, Heather Geddie, Kevin Geddie, Ethan Bramoff, Caleb Mott and Dylan Bramoff.
Visitation was at the Yardley and Pino Funeral Home in Sag Harbor on February 15.
