Walter Kurt Krieg of Clermont, Florida, and formerly of Hampton Bays, died peacefully on November 7. He was 87.
Krieg loved his family and walking his dogs, his family said. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in food science. He was a master baker, owning bakeries in both Minneola, Florida, and Hampton Bays.
He will be sorely missed by many, his family said.
He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Ruth Krieg. He is survived by his daughters Susan, Betty and Laura Krieg; his sons Walter III (Sonia) and David (Lisa); grandchildren Jesse and Athena Graham, David, Analia and Walter IV Krieg; along with many nieces and nephews.
