A memorial service for Walter Lawson Brigham of Shelter Island—formerly an engineer at Western Union’s field laboratory in Water Mill for 19 years—will be held on February 20 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church on Shelter Island.
A well known craftsman and builder and owner of Walter L. Brigham Small Boats, Mr. Brigham died on January 31 surrounded by family at his home. He was 87.
