Walter 'Rocky' Kronimus Of East Quogue Dies April 19

Walter “Rocky” Kronimus III of East Quogue died on April 19.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 24, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Follett & Werner Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 25, at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Rosalie in Hampton Bays. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery with U.S. Army military honors.

Memorial donations may be made to East End Hospice, Box 1048, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978.

Family Fun Day Set At Hampton Bays Church

The Hampton Bays Assembly of God will host a Family Fun Day on Saturday, June 7, from 11 a.m to 3 p.m. The rain date is Sunday, June 8. All are invited to the free event that will include face painting, crafts, games, music, food, an inflatable obstacle course and bounce house, animal shelter dog walking and an educational exhibit from the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Refuge. Teeny Awards To Be Presented on June 8

East End Arts & Humanities Council, Inc. will present its 23rd annual Teeny Awards on Sunday, June 8, at 3 p.m. at Greenport High School, A red carpet event starts at 1 p.m. The 2025 Teeny Awards ceremony, hosted by WLIW’s Gianna Volpe and produced by Kasia Klimiuk, will feature performances by over 100 high school theater students, while presenters consisting of leaders in theater, as well as the local community, present a variety of awards for the 2024/25 high school theater season. Ponquogue Beach in Hampton Bays will be setting for the 22nd annual Battle of the Bands on Friday, June 6. Air Force Major General Michael Bank, the commander of the New York Air National Guard, has announced the recent promotion of members of the New York Air National Guard in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership. Edward Metcalf from Westhampton Beach, assigned to the 106th Rescue Wing, received a promotion April 1 to the rank of master sergeant.
