Westhampton Beach native Walter T. Ogiejko of Mattituck died on January 17 at the Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. He was 54.
Born in Westhampton Beach on August 11, 1954, to Stella (née Sokel) and Michael Ogiejko, he graduated from Westhampton Beach High School and attended Buffalo University. He worked as a computer systems designer for MSC Direct in Melville.
A member of the PT Cruiser Club, he traveled the East Coast in his customized 2001 PT Cruiser to attend shows and was awarded several trophies.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Janet Ogiejko of Mattituck; a stepson, Joseph Domanski of Mattituck, a stepdaughter, Natasha Domanski of Mattituck; two brothers, Michael Ogeijko of Riverhead and Joseph Ogiejko of Shirley; and a sister, Mary Ann Ogiejko of Westhampton Beach.
He was predeceased by his father.
The family received visitors on January 20 at the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck, where a prayer service was conducted by Father John Martin. Interment was at the New Bethany Cemetery in Mattituck.
