Want To Be Heard?

I am writing to encourage the Sag Harbor Village Board to reinstate the access to board meetings on Zoom.

It does not seem that the problem is money, as the mayor stated in his treasurer’s report that the treasury is in fine shape, or something to that effect, and the dockage fees that the village receives are also in good shape.

Witnessing the Village Board meeting Tuesday night, with the room full to overflowing and having to turn off the air conditioning to hear what was being said on the dais, it seems to be that the community would be better served by opening the meetings up as we did during COVID restrictions. I do believe other villages are offering this hybrid solution.

I certainly heard all the speakers better on Zoom than I did last week in person.
