The East Hampton/Pierson/Bridgehampton boys swim team lost a nonleague dual meet, 86-80, at home at the East Hampton RECenter on December 18 to fall to 1-3 overall (1-1 League II). Overall, the Bonackers had six first-place finishes out of the 11 events competed, but the meet was decided by the final event where Northport scored enough to earn the win. The team recognized three first-year swimmers in Pierson sophomore Luca Borghi, Pierson freshman Ise Haney and East Hampton sophomore Tony Pillajo for not only competing for the first time but completing their event legally while showing strong skills as well. Haney was selected as the Swimmer of the Meet by team captains for this reason, specifically how fast he was in both the 4x50 and 4x100.
