Bonac Field Hockey Prevails Over Pierson
Melina Sarlo scored three goals and Emma McGrory added two goals and two assists in East Hampton’s 6-0 home victory over neighboring Pierson/Bridgehampton on August 31. Kerri O’Donnell had two assists and Caeleigh Schuster made eight saves for the Bonackers. Izzy Farcas and Lochlyn Graig combined for four saves for the Whalers.

The East Hampton/Pierson/Bridgehampton football team lost, 42-20, at Half Hollow Hills West on Saturday afternoon.
Pair of Shutouts For Bonac Boys Soccer
After defeating Center Moriches, 3-0, at home on August 30, the East Hampton boys soccer team defeated Hauppauge, 3-0, at home on Saturday. Filiph Garcia Ayala scored two goals, Brian Tacuri had two assists and Adrian Arango made five saves in the win over Center Moriches. Against Hauppauge, Chris Guallpa scored and assisted on another while Christopher Chimbo and Ariel Garcia each scored one goal. Arango made six saves.
Gaeckle Wracks Up Saves In Season Opener
Southampton goalie Emma Gaeckle was credited with 27 saves in a 6-0 season-opening loss at Harborfields for Mariners field hockey on August 31.
Southampton Girls Soccer Ties Riverhead
Emma D’Italia, Jaylin Maloney and Jillian Swiatocha each scored goals and Ella Liebnitzky made 10 saves for the Mariners in what wound up a 3-3 tie on August 30.
Hurricane Football Rolls Over Harborfields
Will Gambino threw for five touchdowns leading the Westhampton Beach football team with a 56-27 victory at Harborfields on Saturday afternoon. He completed 16 of his 25 passes for 260 yards. Kevin Smith caught four of Gambino’s passes for 79 and two touchdowns. Nolan Michalowski rushed for 137 yards and a pair of touchdowns on nine carries. He also had six tackles and an interception on defense. Ryan O’Connor made five tackles and recovered a fumble and Jordyn Brown made five tackles and had a sack.
