John Jermain Library Awards $5,000 Pathway to Success Scholarship

The John Jermain Memorial Library has selected recent Pierson High School graduate Ryder Esposito as the first recipient of its Pathway to Success scholarship. Esposito will receive $5,000 to continue his education at Mount Saint Mary College in the fall, where he will pursue a degree in biology through their physical therapy preparation program. “The Trustee Scholarship committee was very impressed with Ryder’s application and essay,” said Executive Director Kelly A. Pierson Student Wins Mulvihill Scholarship

Pierson High School 2024 graduate Helena Aurora Kolhoff of Sag Harbor was recently awarded the William and Mary Mulvihill Environmental Scholarship. The award was presented to Kolhoff at the South Fork Natural History Museum’s annual gala last Saturday by Mary Ann Mulvihill-Decker, daughter of William and Mary. Kolhoff will be attending the University of Connecticut this fall, majoring in environmental engineering. The Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation is offering a challenge match grant to local historical organizations. For every $5,000 to $10,000 raised by an applicant specifically for this challenge in 2024, the foundation will award a one-time matching grant in the same amount.
