Westhampton Beach School District Sues Southampton, Says Tax Bill for 79-Unit Housing Development Is Too Low

The Preserve at South Country will have 79 rental apartments when it is built in Quiogue and the Westhampton Beach School District says Southampton Town is not going to require the development to pay enough to the district to offset the costs of dozens of new students that will move into the schools. The district has sued to nullify the agreement between the town and the developers that sets the annual payment at less than $75,000. NRP Group
