The Westhampton Free Library Board of Trustees has announced that Priscilla N. Adam was unanimously appointed to fill a vacancy left by seven-year trustee member Thomas Moore. Adam’s term, effective immediately, will run to June 30, 2023.
“As we extend our thanks to Mr. Moore for his many dedicated years of service, we welcome Ms. Adam,” said Library Director Danielle Waskiewicz. “We look forward to utilizing her wealth of experience to advance our mission of continuously serving the needs of the community.”
Adam joins the library’s volunteer board with an background in the nonprofit sector. She is currently a summer associate for the Peconic Land Trust, a donor research assistant for the Ronald McDonald House, a board member and secretary of the Friends of Westhampton Free Library, and a grant writer for the Barrier Beach Preservation Association.
In her professional career as an integrated marketing consultant, Adam has supported a national angel investor network, which empowers women entrepreneurs, and has created a marketing framework for a low-carbon economy startup fund. In the past, she has served as a director of campaign and program marketing at UBS Asset Management and a marketing director for QS Investors.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Skidmore College, a digital marketing certificate from Cornell University, and is a candidate for a certificate in philanthropy and nonprofits from the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.
Of her appointment, Adam said, “I am grateful to be joining the Westhampton Free Library as the newest trustee. Libraries are a portal to lifelong learning. Today’s libraries serve the community, cultivate knowledge and inspire curiosity. I look forward to serving in this new role.”
