Westhampton resident Ralph LaVallata dies at 98

Ralph LaVallata of Westhampton died on August 9 at the Westhampton Care Center. He was 98.

Mr. LaVallata was born on November 25, 1910, in Italy. He was a mechanic for the New York Transit System.

He is survived by his son, John LaVallata; a granddaughter, Kathryn Eckart; and a grandson, John LaVallata Jr. He was predeceased by his wife, Grace; and a grandson, Ralph LaVallata.

Memorial services were held at the Follett & Werner Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 11, followed by religious services in the evening. Entombment was scheduled for today, Thursday, August 13, in the Sylvan Abbey in Clearwater, Florida.
