Thank you, Eagle Scout Keith Aube and the Southampton Town Parks and Recreation Department!
I was riding my bike on Red Creek Road this evening for some after-work cardio and noticed that trails in the old Girl Scout camp had been cleared. So I shifted down and took a trail ride through the camp, now called Squiretown Park. What a gem!
Eagle Scout Keith Aube completed a project of building tent platforms there that will offer great campsites with million-dollar views of Great Peconic Bay, now with a cleared trail down to West Landing Beach [“Hampton Bays Troop Member Becomes Eagle Scout at 16,” 27east.com, March 18]. I look forward to seeing this facility open to the public soon.
Thank you to the great crew at Southampton Town Parks and Recreation for the huge amount of work you’ve done clearing and maintaining the trails in all our preserved land!

Time To Quit
Thank you for the clear and sane analysis of Lee Zeldin’s insane case for overturning an election that was not only more scrutinized, more tested, and more inclusive than any other, but was also a resounding defeat of Trump [“Analysis:...

An Encounter

Blind Support
NPR reported that Congressman Lee Zeldin had criticized the Democrats as hypocritical and suggested that they come up from the bottom and take a long, hard look in the mirror. He stated that the Democrats have questioned election results in...
Beauty Of Democracy
After the violence at the Capitol Building last week, many have written about how the Capitol in Washington, D.C., inspired feelings of awe and reverence. These same sentiments were expressed last year by Latinx students and their parents who participated...

Brendan O’Reilly penned a masterful dissection and teardown of U.S. Representative Lee Zeldin’s anti-factual and irresponsible speech to support overthrow of the presidential election [“Analysis: A Weak Argument,” January 14]. That Mr. Zeldin made this address on the House floor...
