William Burdick passed away peacefully at Bryn Mawr Hospital on December 7, 2021. He was 94 years old.

Born in New York on December 23, 1926, he grew up in Brooklyn and attended Poly Prep School where he excelled in track and field. He had two older brothers, Howard and Clinton Dewitt, both deceased.

He served in the Army Air Corps. He attended Cornell University and the University of Miami (BA, 5-5-51), and got his Master’s Degree from Temple (6-17-65).

Bill taught mathematics and coached at the Episcopal Academy (City Line 
Avenue campus) for over 35 years, a career that he loved. He was also a referee of soccer, wrestling and track and field, which he did up until his mid-eighties.

Bill was an avid fan of music and Community Theater.  Bill raised his family in Narberth, PA. and Westhampton Beach, NY.

He is predeceased by his wife, Lois (nee Richardson). He is survived by three children, Jeffrey H. Burdick (Teri) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Deborah Page Cloud (Robert) of Wenonah, NJ, and Heather B. Klein (Joseph) of Lansdowne, PA. Also his grandchildren Justin R. Cloud (Vanessa), Jamison M. Cloud, and Jennifer K. Cloud, James W. Burdick, Lauren Abbott, and William Burdick and five great-grandchildren, Erin, Nicholas, Mason, Landon, and Juliet. 

Relatives and friends were invited to visit the family on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 9:00 AM-11:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (Cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.  Interment followed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Ardmore, PA.
