William T. Collins III, formerly of David’s Lane in Water Mill, died on April 7 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Port Jefferson. Known as “Teddy” or “Bird,” he was 65.
Mr. Collins had been a resident at Water’s Edge at Port Jefferson for Rehabilitation and Nursing since he had a stroke at St. Francis Hospital in 2013.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Helen Collins; and a younger brother, Kevin. He is survived by two sons, William Collins IV of Riverhead and Tygue of Farmingville; a sister, Sandra; seven grandchildren; and many cousins, family and friends.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Robertaccio Funeral Home in Medford. Burial was at Southampton Cemetery.
