Thank you, Dr. Josephine DeVincenzi and all the members of Southampton Town Aquatics and Recreation, for re-energizing the movement to construct a local aquatics center.
As a past member of various aquatic and fitness centers for over six decades, I can assure you that the center will add a very small amount of additional traffic. What actually occurs is that a vehicle or two arrives or leaves every few minutes.
I also would like to remind folks that in addition to “drownproofing” our children and having a healthier and more fit population, the center can be a wonderful resource for rehabilitation of injuries.
