March 7 - The Southampton boys basketball team defeated Bayport-Blue Point, to win the Suffolk County Class A Championship, its third consecutive county title. DREW BUDD
February 29 - Dominick White helped lead the Southampton boys basketball team to a lopsided victory over Kings Park in the Suffolk County Class A quarterfinals. White was eventually named Suffolk County Class A MVP, All-Long Island and All-County for his efforts. RON ESPOSITO

February 15 - Westhampton Beach senior Max Buchen repeated as Suffolk County champion in the 100-yard breaststroke. He would go on to win the state title in his premier event as well. MARIANNE BARNETT
October 17 - Westhampton Beach senior Brody Schaffer dives and hits the pylon to score the first touchdown of the game in East Hampton on Thursday, October 10. The win over the Bonackers set the Hurricanes on a five-game win streak that eventually led them to the county semifinals after starting the season 1-3. RON ESPOSITO
October 31 - Westhampton Beach junior Zach Berger won the Suffolk County boys golf individual title just a year after his teammate Owen Jessop had won it. MARIANNE BARNETT
November 17 - The Mariners are ecstatic after pulling out a 28-26 victory in the first set of the Suffolk County Class B semifinals at Babylon, a match they eventually won, 3-1, to advance to the county championship where they lost a close match to Center Moriches. DREW BUDD

May 2 - Dylan Laube where it all started at Westhampton Beach High School. The former Hurricanes was drafted in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Las Vegas Raiders. DANA SHAW
March 14 - Cole Brauer, a 2012 East Hampton High School graduate, hoists up her silver trophy for taking second place in the Global Solo Challenge. She became the first American woman to race nonstop around the world by herself. ALVARO SANCHIS

July 4 - Pierson graduate Sofia Mancino was selected to play for Puerto Rico's U20 team in the World Lacrosse Championships that were played in August. Mancino and Puerto Rico finished fifth in the world. JANET MANCINO
