Governor Kathy Hochul announced last week that New York State Police and local law enforcement agencies will participate in the national enforcement initiative on impaired driving this holiday season. The “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign, an initiative funded by the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee, runs from through Wednesday, January 1. “New York has zero tolerance for impaired and reckless driving,” said Hochul in a press release. “Let me be clear, if you place yourself or other drivers in danger this holiday season, you will be ticketed or face criminal charges. Worship celebration to follow 7:30 p.m. A viewing will be held Saturday, December 21, from 10-11 a.m., followed by a home-going service at 11 a.m., at Galilee Church of God in Christ in Riverhead.
