Sights & SoundsMenacing blanket on oyster

gray clouds cover the

whole sky ...

While, below,

the moss green inlet ...

gentle ripples coax

an elegant white egret

to leave the shoreline.

More senseless shootings

in synagogues and churches.

Masses of children killed

by gunfire in Sri Lanka.

But, clumps of yellow daffodils

dot the landscape below.

Brexit causes much confusion

and fear in Europe ...

But a tangerine sunset

soothes the soul.

Trees sway with fierce

Winds ... and birds

huddle for safety ...

Ocean roars like a

buffalo stampede on

a vast Wyoming plain ...

Relentless heavy rain

soaks the earth below.

Day after day,

the fury of Mother Nature

gone wild.

Days late, all is quiet ...

One is grateful to

be alive.
