Police Catch Man Who Allegedly Stabbed Suffolk County Transit Bus Passenger

Southampton Town Police caught a man who allegedly stabbed a passenger aboard a Suffolk County Transit bus on Friday afternoon and then fled on foot. Just before 4 p.m., the bus had left the County Center and was traveling south on CR 51 in Riverhead when the suspect, 23-year-old Rene Alexander Elias Chaj of Mastic, stabbed the victim with a knife and then ran, according to police.
