For this installment of Road to Healthy I thought I would try my hand at a little bit of comedy. Well here I go with my Top 10 Reasons I Struggle to Stay on the Road to Weight Loss and Better Health.
Number 10: My Addiction to all things round with cheese and tomato.
Number 9: Big and Tall online has the coolest tee-shirts,
Number 8: Everyone Knows the first 150 pounds are the easiest to lose, so why not keep losing them over and over again.
Number 7: Man, those guys on “David Letterman” are good; I’m only up to 7 and am already hitting a roadblock.
Number 6: Being unable to get through a top 10 list without thinking of pizza.
Number 5: I’ve gotten so used to “hey big guy” I am not sure I want to go through the legal process to change my name.
Number 4: If I lose weight the focus might move to my receding hair line.
Number 3: Polls show that 78 percent of the population will find this top 10 list funnier just based on the simple fact it’s written by a fat guy.
Number 2: I wouldn’t have a clue what to write about gardening.
Number 1: The Southampton Press’s pension plan doesn’t kick in until after five years.
Let’s all try to stay on our individual roads to healthy, one mile (or one healthy choice) at a time.
