June E. Gittleson
June E. Gittleson of East Hampton died on October 30 in Calvary Hospital in the Bronx. She was 70.
Born in Astoria, Queens, she grew up in Roslyn Heights and Old Westbury, New York. She attended The Wheatley School high school in Old Westbury and Rollins College in Florida.
For many years, Ms. Gittleson owned a store called The Left Hand and most recently worked as a tax return preparer. In addition to her home in East Hampton, Ms. Gittleson was a resident of Manhattan and also had a winter home in Lantana, Florida.
She is survived by her partner of 30 years, Phyllis Puritz, and a sister, Nancy Hodson.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 14, at 2 p.m. at Commack Abbey Funeral Home in Commack, New York. In lieu of flowers, donations to Calvary Hospital, 1740 Eastchester Road, Bronx, NY 10461 would be appreciated by the family.
