Barbara A. McLam of Southampton died on Good Friday, March 29, at home. She was 90.

Born in Southampton on November 13, 1933, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Rita Burns. She was a graduate of Southampton High School, Class of 1951.

She worked at the Suffolk County Water Authority as an administrative assistant for many years, where she met the love of her life, Donald McLam, who she married on September 23, 1995. Upon retirement, they relocated to Hobe Sound, Florida, where they enjoyed many years together, also spending time in Southampton during summers.

She enjoyed golf, being socially active, playing cards with friends at the Southampton Golf Club, shopping and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Donna Soto, Deborarah Darenberg and Simon Stella Jr.

A remembrance is being planned for the fall.

In lieu of flowers, donations to East End Hospice (eeh.org) will honor her legacy of generosity and community spirit.

SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — Village Police arrested Anthony Colonia, 29, of Shirley this past week on a felony charge of grand larceny in the third degree. According to police, back in February, a Northwest Woods resident reported that she had paid Colonia, who was doing business as Pristine Painting Inc, via check, $5,800 as a down payment to paint the interior and exterior of her property. The check was handed to Colonia by the homeowner, police said, in Sag Harbor Village, making the alleged crime that department’s responsibility. Sag Harbor Village DWI Arrest for the Week of December 12

Felicia S. Baez, 30, who has a Brooklyn address on her license but told the court during her arraignment Sunday morning that she is working in Sag Harbor, was charged with misdemeanor DWI a little before midnight on Saturday. Sag Harbor Village Police said she was driving a 2011 Toyota RAV4 erratically on Jermain Avenue, leading to a traffic stop.
