A memorial gathering for Suzanne K. Noble, formerly of Hampton Bays, who died on April 7, 1996, in Worcester, Massachusetts, from an aneurism, at the age of 41, will be held on Monday, June 24.
Ms. Noble was born in White Plains on November 27, 1954, and spent seven years in Armonk before the family moved to Hampton Bays. She graduated from Hampton Bays High School in 1972. In the late 1970s, she moved to Massachusetts, where she resided until her death.
Her daughter describes her as a beautiful and wonderful person with a great heart, a kind and gentle soul. She left an impact on those she met. They said she loved to talk, laugh, and have fun with her friends and family, but she was also the person friends and neighbors turned to when they needed help or a shoulder to lean on. Her friends were always there to support her, too.
A talented artist, she tackled any creative project, decorating her home with her paintings, furniture she refinished, and her crafts. Though she didn’t pursue art as a career, she was always doing something artistic and creative on the side. She never stopped doing what she loved, her daughter said.
An honor student in high school, she was very smart and quickly retained information, making her a wiz at the game show, Jeopardy. She loved history, especially European history, and wrote a manuscript about medieval England. Sue loved learning, both academically and personally. She traced her ancestors to the 1600s and took great pride in her heritage. Some of her ancestors founded towns in Pennsylvania and Maryland.
A huge sports fan, baseball and football were among her favorites. She loved all of her New York teams, especially the Buffalo Bills.
She is survived by one daughter, Nicole. She was predeceased by her mother, Margaret, who died in 1992 from cancer.
Her final wishes will be carried out at the June gathering, followed by a luncheon at Villa Paul.
