Corinne C. Crowley Dies August 21

author on Sep 1, 2015

Corinne C. (Kennedy) Crowley, known to many as “Sis,” died on August 21 in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was 85.

Survivors said Ms. Crowley found her greatest joy in the most recent years of her life in raising two of her great-grandchildren, James and Corinne Harding. She and her great-grandchildren provided a purpose to each other’s lives, when they all needed each other most, survivors said. They added that her spunk, charm and sass would fill any room, and she even found herself the favorite of all her caretakers at Morse Life Center at the end stage of her life. She had a knack for all crafts, and was a culinary and baking genius, but will be remembered most for the ferocity in how she loved, survivors said, adding that they will remember her support and devotion to her family.

She was predeceased by her husband, John “Jack” D. Crowley II; her parents, Joseph and Lillian Kennedy; and a brother, Joseph Kennedy Jr. of Hampton Bays. She is survived by a sister, Eileen (Kennedy) Charos and husband Peter of Hampton Bays; four children, John “Jack” D. Crowley III and wife Marie-Claude, Wayne P. Crowley, Coleen P. Shannon and husband Michael, and Maureen V. Crowley and husband Chris; five grandchildren, Patrick Crowley, Reagan Harris, Megan Shannon, Monique Crowley and Jacqueline (Crowley) Farkas; four great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A private service at the Oakwood Cemetery in East Quogue will be held on a yet to be determined date in the early fall at the burial site of her late husband.
