Wilson Yunja-Coraisaca, 28, of Hampton Bays was arrested by Southampton Town Police on April 27 8:59 p.m. in Hampton Bays and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, and multiple traffic violations. Police said that a passing motorist reported a white van traveling east on Bay Avenue that did not stay in its lane of traffic. According to police, an officer saw the van turn right onto Hampton Bays Drive without stopping at a stop sign and then drive in the opposite lane of travel. BRIDGEHAMPTON — Brian Conforti, 55, of Bridgehampton was arrested by Southampton Town Police on April 16 at 11:20 a.m. on Montauk Highway near Corwith Avenue and Hull Lane after a caller told police that Conforti had a knife, had stabbed the caller’s vehicle with it and was threatening to kill him. On arrival officers made contact with Conforti, who matched the caller’s description and had a knife visible in his pocket. He was taken to police headquarters and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, as well as fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree menacing, both misdemeanors.
