Paddle Time

Paddling season is here! I use a canoe, kayak, prone board or stand-up paddleboard. Every place I paddle is a pleasure. I would like to share some of my favorites with you.

Paddle from Connecticut Avenue in Manorville to Riverhead: four hours.

Circumnavigate Shinnecock Bay counterclockwise from the Coast Guard Station: six hours.

Paddle from Orient Point to Riverhead: nine hours.

Paddle from Cedar Point Avenue in Noyac to Long Beach in Sag Harbor: three hours.

Paddle from Louse Point in East Hampton to Napeague Harbor Beach and go for lunch at Lunch: three hours.

Paddle from Riverhead to Inlet Road in Southampton: four hours.

Paddle from Library Avenue in Westhampton Beach to Dockers for lunch or dinner and a beautiful sunset.

Most of my trips end near good restaurants, where I usually go for a drink or a meal. If you do the Orient Point trip, I will buy you pizza and a beer.

I always wear a PFD (personal flotation device).
