Keep Everyone Safe

There are too many inexperienced and beginner surfers on the East End who don’t have enough control of their boards to permit surfing at the same time when and where people normally swim. All that needs to happen is for a swimmer to get hit by one of the out-of-control surfboards, and you’ve got a big problem on your hands.

The new mayor’s inexperience and naiveté are showing. The first thing you have to learn as a politician is not to take sides. This is the exactly the problem with electing someone who’s green: They tend to make more than their share of bad decisions.

If this is the trend for the future for this mayor, it’s going to be a long and frustrating term. I thought we learned this lesson already with Trump.

Don’t amend the restriction and keep everybody safer
