Who — or what — is lurking in the stacks? Come to the Haunted Library and find out … if you dare. From 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, East Hampton Library will once again present its spooky Haunted Library event. Not for the faint-of-heart, this event is for ages 10 and up only. Costumes are encouraged and refreshments will be offered as attendees gather in the library’s Baldwin Family Lecture Room, where the Haunted Library tours will begin at 7 p.m.
The tour takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and attendees should plan to arrive no later than 8:45 pm (the event will conclude at 9 p.m.). Note that strobe lights will be used in the performance.
“This the second year we’re inviting the community to the library for this fun event,” said Lisa Michne, head of the library’s Young Adult Services. “The Haunted Library is a teen-led program, with teens in the YA department planning and organizing the evening, which is focused around a surprise literary-linked theme — and the entire library staff will be joining in.”
The Haunted Library is free, but advance ticket reservations are requested by visiting easthamptonlibrary.org or 631-324-0222. The library is at 159 Main Street, East Hampton.
