Galactic Galloping With OFVS

“Aladdin” meets “Star Wars” on the set of “America’s Got Talent” in the next production of Our Fabulous Variety Show (OFVS).

Called 1,001 Galactic Nights, the new and original show is OFVS’s 25th production and will take audience members on a thrilling carpet ride through the glitz and glamour of life on planet Uutab. It will be presented November 22 through 24 at the John Drew Theater at Guild Hall in East Hampton.

The show features a cast of 50 performers in an evening of dancing, singing and dialogue that is fun for the whole family.

Set in 2023, when earth has become uninhabitable due to “genie culture,” where everyone relies on wishes and instant gratification to fulfill their dreams without thinking about the havoc that their actions are taking on the environment, everyone from earth has had to migrate to the planet Uutab. One last wish remains in the entire universe and everyone wants it but the only way to win it is to be the champion on the popular GalaxTV network game show, “Galactic Nights,” now taping its 1001st episode.

From there, expect OFVS’s signature twists to take the audience in a new direction.

Directed and choreographed by Anita Boyer and Kasia Klimiuk, with additional choreography by Charity Robinson, vocal direction is by Lucy Caracappa. Shows are Friday and Saturday, November 22 and 23 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, November 24 at 2 p.m.

On Sunday, November 24 at 6 p.m., OFVS will also present a second production, “I Dream of Genie: Diva Show,” featuring local drag queens RaffaShow (Danny Ximo), Naomi (Robert Kohnken) and Rusty Nails (John Messina). This one-night-only cabaret will feature local musicians, singers, actors, and improv comedy presented by Velvet Robot, with improvisers Boyer, Klimiuk and Joe Pallister.
