A Water Mill property that former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci purchased preconstruction from Farrell Building Company — and then turned around and put right back on the market — has sold for $7.55 million, according to The Real Estate Report Inc.

The address is 30 Lawrence Court, and the 0.92-acre property next to a reserve was previously developed in 1974, according to town property records. Farrell Building Company bought it for $3.18 million in 2017 and razed the existing house the same year. Now completed, the replacement home is 5,663 square feet above grade, and the finished basement brings the total living space up to 8,300 square feet. It has eight bedrooms, a high-end eat-in chef’s kitchen with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, an attached garage, and a 50-foot heated swimming pool plus tanning bed and spa. The pool is surrounded by a stone patio and is complemented by a pool house and pergola as well.

Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams outfitted the residence with modern furnishings.

Last year, the asking price was $9 million, but the ask was reduced to $7.8 million this January.

Jane Babcook of Brown Harris Stevens and Mark Baron of Saunders & Associates had the co-listing, and Mr. Baron also brought the buyer.

Mr. Scaramucci is a hedge funder and the founder of SkyBridge, a global alternative investments firm. Nicknamed "The Mooch," he holds the record for the shortest tenured White House communications director at just 11 days. He and his wife, Deidre Ball, apparently never spent a summer at the Water Mill house. They have a more modest home on South Street in North Sea that they listed in 2018 briefly but never sold.

The buyer in Water Mill is an anonymous limited liability company: Lawrence Court Realty LLC.
